Gas prices, financial upheaval and trips to Brasil (especially Ubaúna)

Everyone is familiar with the events of the recent months. Gas prices have gone up dramatically since this past summer, the financial topsy-turvey has impacted food, lodging and hired transportation costs and the result is a dramatic increase in the cost of our trips.

We cannot give a firm number on the cost of the trip yet, but it appears that it will run in the range of $3200.

This cost includes the following:

• Round trip Airline tickets
  
• Hotels in Fortaleza and Tianguá
  
• Food in Brazil (not in the airports in the US)
  
• Transportation from Fortaleza to, from and within the region we'll be working
  

Additionally, it is recommended that you carry an additional $100 - 150 for souvenirs, snacks, etc.
